In the second part of our interview with Berks County-based watercolorist Steven White, he talks about the growing culture of artists in the region and how he got into teaching watercolor workshops.

Why watercolor, you ask? “I call it a nervous medium,” he said. “It’s a fast medium, and that’s the way I like to paint. With oil painting, you might have to wait 24-48 hours before you can start again. That would drive me crazy. I like the immediacy of watercolor. It happens very quickly. It’s an addictive medium.”
