
On the most recent edition of CNBC’s embarrassingly name Bizography they covered George Foreman’s infomercial successes with the now ubiquitous George Foreman Grill. Now of course George wasn’t exactly the inventor of the grill, Hulk Hogan famously turned down the job as pitchman for the product in favor of a nondescript blender, but George certainly made it his own.
The unparalleled success of the grill led to many new models, sizes, and accessories to the point where if you don’t own a George Foreman product you simply must not eat.
George Foreman, father to 11 kids almost five of them egotistically named George, will not soon be matched for name recognition, or sales success in the As Seen On TV world. Hulk Hogan on the other hand is perpetually seeking employment in the reality TV industry.
